I will refer to "dedicated server" with the second meaning now, preferring "regional server" for the first. That program doesn't allow you to play the game, but you can host it. What I am used to: a program that you can launch on any computer to host a server. What it looks like it's being used for: servers ran by 343 industries that are dedicated to a world region, to minimize latency. My apologies.Īt first it confused me, but it as become clearer and clearer that "dedicated server" is used by the community and developers alike in a way I am not familiar with.
